Maybe you can’t stay sober even though you desperately want to. Maybe you keep ending up in the same toxic relationships. Maybe you’re so busy—with work, with everyone else’s problems, with anything—that you never have to actually feel what’s inside. Maybe you’ve been to therapy before and talked and talked and nothing changed.
Or maybe you just know something is deeply wrong and you can’t keep living like this.
I’ve sat where you’re sitting.
I’ve faced my own dragons and kissed them on the lips. I’ve mucked through childhood trauma and trauma I created as an adult. I had to stop using drugs, alcohol, relationships, food, work—any distraction possible—and learn how to sit with and listen to myself.
That’s the work. And I’ve been doing it for 37 years.
Here’s what I know:
Until you’re ready, you’ll talk a lot and do nothing. When you’re ready, you’ll do whatever it takes.
When you are—when you’re truly done—I’m ready to go with you.
What I Do:
I’m a licensed clinical social worker and Alaska mental health counselor in Anchorage, specializing in trauma, PTSD, addiction, codependency, and childhood trauma. I use Somatic Experiencing and body-centered therapy—techniques that help you bypass your critical mind and get into your body. Because your nervous system is holding onto things your brain is trying to forget.
I work with people who can’t stay sober. Childhood trauma survivors still dealing with what happened decades ago. Veterans struggling with PTSD. People stuck in codependent relationships. People who keep themselves so busy they never have to feel anything.
If you’re in Anchorage, we meet in person. Anywhere else in Alaska—Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla, rural villages—we work together through secure telehealth.
My Promise:
I will not ask you to go where I haven’t gone myself. I’ve done my work. I continue to do my work. Our trauma is different, but the commitment to show up honestly—that’s the same.
Sessions are $210 per hour. Most insurance companies reimburse my services—I’ll give you a receipt after each session that you submit for reimbursement.
